‘레알-뮌헨은 진작 포기’ PSG, 이번 여름 최우선 영입 목표는 케인

해리 케인은 내년 여름이면 토트넘 홋스퍼와 계약이 만료됩니다. 토트넘 홋스퍼를 떠나면 우승을 하는 동료들을 보는 케인은 이제는 정말 토트넘을 떠나 우승에 도전하기를 바랄 것 같습니다. 케인의 이적설은 지겹게 나오는 데 재계약 이야기는 하나도 나오지 않는 것이 그런 이유입니다. 아무튼 케인과 토트넘의 작별은 시간문제로 보입니다. 

이미 케인을 원하는 팀은 많습니다. 프리미어리그를 넘어 전 세계 최고의 공격수는 모든 팀들에게 매력적인 자원입니다. 최근 레알 마드리드가 케인 영입을 시도했지만 다니엘 레비 회장이 1억 파운드(약 1,640억 원) 이상의 이적료를 요구하며 깔끔하게 무산됐습니다. 레알은 카림 벤제마가 팀을 떠나 공격수가 필요하지만 계약기간이 1년 남은 30살 공격수에게 그렇게 큰 돈을 쓸 생각이 없습니다. 결국 레알은 에스파뇰에서 호셀루를 임대로 영입했습니다. 

맨체스터 유나이티드도 케인 영입을 원했습니다. 프리미어리그에서 검증된 공격수인 케인은 공격수가 필요한 맨유에 완벽한 퍼즐입니다. 하지만 역시 레비 회장의 무리한 요구로 바로 포기를 했습니다. 또 맨유는 구단주가 바뀔 가능성이 있어 일단 이 작업이 마무리된 후에 선수 영입에 본격적으로 나설 것으로 보입니다. 현재 맨유에 가장 급한 건 구단주 이슈입니다.

이런 상황에 파리 생제르맹이 케인 영입을 위해 나서고 있습니다. 이 소식은 풋볼런던에서 전했습니다.

풋볼런던은 “PSG는 해리 케인의 영입 경쟁에 첼시, 맨유와 함께 합류했다. 레알과 바이에른 뮌헨은 모두 케인이 아닌 다른 옵션에 집중할 것으로 보인다. 첼시는 케인 영입에 대해 문의한 상황이다. 마우리시오 포체티노 감독과 케인의 재회를 원하고 있다. 메시를 잃은 PSG는 음바페와 네이마르도 잠재적으로 이적할 가능성이 있어 공격수 보강의 필요성을 느끼고 있다”고 전했습니다.

프랑스 매체 ‘르 파리지앵’도 비슷한 내용을 전했습니다. 이 매체는 “PSG의 알 켈라이피 회장은 어떤 감독이 오든 케인 영입을 추진하고 있다. 그는 이번 여름 최우선 목표로 케인을 설정했다. PSG는 오시멘을 목표로 했지만 그는 리그앙 복귀를 원치 않고 있다. 케인도 잉글랜드를 떠날지 불확실하지만 트로피를 위해서는 확실한 선택이 될 것이다”라고 전했습니다. 

케인의 이적 가능성이 높은 건 사실이지만 PSG로 갈까 하는 건 의문이 듭니다. 케인은 일단 프리미어리그 역대 득점 2위를 달리고 있습니다. 260골을 기록한 앨런 시어러가 1위에 있는데 케인은 213골로 2위에 있습니다. 불과 47골만 더 넣으면 시어러를 따라잡을 수 있고 그 이후부터는 역대 최다 득점자가 됩니다. 이런 이유로 케인은 프리미어리그 잔류를 생각할 것 같습니다. 물론 챔피언스리그 우승이 가능한 해외 팀들의 제안이라면 생각이 달라질 수 있지만 PSG는 그 부분에 대해서는 매력이 다소 떨어집니다. 

PSG와 함께 첼시, 맨유가 케인 영입을 노리고 있는데 역시 레비 회장의 깐깐한 협상을 이겨내야 합니다. 맨유는 케인 영입을 분명 원하고 있지만 이적료에 흔들리며 내년 여름 자유계약 영입을 진지하게 생각하고 있습니다. 돈이 많은 첼시는 과감한 투자로 케인을 영입을 노리고 있습니다. 계약기간이 1년 남은 케인이 어떤 팀의 유니폼을 입을까요. 개인적으로는 프리미어리그에 남아 계속 도전을 이어갔으면 좋겠습니다. 케인이 어떤 팀으로 가고 또 은퇴 전까지 우승 트로피를 들 수 있을지 궁금하네요. 이번 선택이 상당히 중요해 보입니다. 감사합니다.
