김민재 선수의 발롱도르 후보 포함은 아시아 수비수로는 최초의 일입니다. 한국 선수로는 4번째입니다. 2002년 안더레흐트의 설기현 선수, 2005년 맨체스터 유나이티드의 박지성 선수, 2019년과 2022년 토트넘 홋스퍼의 손흥민 선수 그리고 이번 2023년 나폴리에서 뛰었던 김민재 선수가 발롱도르 후보에 포함되며 한국 축구 팬들을 설레게 하고 있습니다.
